The Mighty Mu Zeta Chapter of Omega Psi Phi was established on the Campus of Middle Tennessee State University on April 25,1973 with the initiation of the charter line the Phantom 13 +1. The chapter received its charter on September 21, 1973 which made the Mu Zeta Chapter of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity the first African-American fraternity chartered on the campus of Middle Tennessee State University.
